What's New?

As we commemorate Eid al-Fitr in the year 1445 of the Islamic calendar, let us embrace the timeless teachings of faith, gratitude, and unity that define this sacred festival. May Eid al-Fitr serve as a source of inspiration for Muslims worldwide to strive for spiritual growth, cultivate gratitude, and extend compassion to all members of the human family. In the spirit of Eid al-Fitr, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a more compassionate, inclusive, and harmonious world for generations to come. Eid Mubarak!

This marks the beginning of the month of Dhul Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Dhul Hijjah is a sacred month for Muslims, as it contains the days of Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, and the days of 'Eid al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice.

Salam Brothers, Afgan sisters and brothers are organizing this event with help from Christian friends who helped them to settle in Eugene. They celebrate world refugee day and this year they embrace Afgan culture with showcasing their food, music and their journey to the US. Please make sure to sign up if you are planning to experience and celebrate Afgan culture. Thank you

Youth Programs

Welcome to the Youth Programs at the Eugene Islamic Center!

At the Eugene Islamic Center, we recognize the importance of nurturing the next generation of Muslim youth. Our youth programs are designed to provide a supportive and engaging environment where young individuals can explore their faith, develop essential life skills, and build lasting connections with their peers.

We offer a range of dynamic and age-appropriate activities that cater to the needs and interests of our diverse youth community. Our programs focus on fostering Islamic values, character development, leadership skills, and academic excellence.

The youth programs at the Eugene Islamic Center include:

  1. Islamic Education: We provide Islamic classes and study circles that cover various aspects of faith, including Quranic studies, Hadith, Islamic history, and moral teachings. Our qualified instructors create interactive and engaging sessions to help youth deepen their understanding of Islam.

  2. Social and Recreational Activities: We organize regular social and recreational activities that allow youth to bond, have fun, and develop lifelong friendships. These activities include sports events, outdoor excursions, game nights, and community service projects.

  3. Youth Empowerment Workshops: Our workshops focus on empowering youth with essential life skills, such as effective communication, time management, goal setting, and decision-making. We invite guest speakers and mentors to provide guidance and inspiration to our youth participants.

  4. Mentorship Programs: We facilitate mentorship programs that pair youth with experienced and knowledgeable mentors from within the community. These mentors provide guidance, support, and a positive role model for the youth, helping them navigate challenges and make informed choices.

  5. Volunteering Opportunities: We encourage our youth to actively participate in community service and volunteering initiatives. These opportunities allow them to contribute to society, develop empathy, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Our youth programs aim to create a nurturing environment that instills Islamic values, promotes personal growth, and prepares youth to become confident, responsible, and compassionate individuals. We welcome all youth in the Eugene area to join us and be part of our vibrant and supportive youth community at the Eugene Islamic Center.
